The red flower rises above the memory of a crumbling city and a silent profile, turning the boundary between death and renewal into a new allegory.
At the tip of a slender stem cutting through the center, a deep crimson rose opens fully, while vertical fields of white, black, and gray collide with bleeding streams of red to create a sharp tension. In the lower area, a face with closed eyes seems to sink, and the white bird entering from the upper right carries light as if tearing through the hard surrounding space. The overlaps of scuffing, dripping, and peeling surfaces create the texture of a rough wall, while fragments of gold kindle small pockets of warmth in the dark, allowing a feeling of hope and liberation to emerge quietly within the atmosphere of loss.
